Blood? A little TMI

Question

Okay so I'm 37 weeks and I just got home 3 hours ago from my doctors appointment, she said my cervix are closed but soft and the baby is still a little high. I went to the bathroom twice already and both times that I've wiped there's this light red blood on the toilet paper. Could that be my mucus plug? Is this normal? I've never had any blood until now.

You should get it checked out 
With my last son at 39 weeks I did bleed and went in to labor and delivery and I had to stay cause I was in labor I just didn't know it since the contractions weren't very strong

If it's minimal I would think it's just from the examine. That would happen to me every time they checked me the last few weeks. Usually the mucus plug is pretty obvious and gross when it comes out. Call if you are worried though!
