Do you think Instagram creates unrealistically high standards of beauty for women?

There are a lot of Instagram models these days. There are a lot of celebrities and models posting very flashy or basically nude pictures. Lots of girls are favoring cliche bikini leg or butt pictures. How do you feel about the standards of beauty this creates among females? Does it create any, or is it something to just shrug off?

I think all social media does. We have the option to edit or even block a post we don't like from people seeing. Most of us only put the best out there. I have literally watched my friend edit herself into oblivion( she changed her face and body shaped and put makeup on her photo) it's not a good thing.

I get where your coming from. Some celebrities post pictures that seem like they should only be meant for them and their significant other. I think it creates a high standard of beauty people think that girls can just magically look like that if they "try hard enough." Sometimes in the conversations I have with boys they feel like only sexy or hot pictures on Instagram deserve likes

No. Not even close. What do you want? Girls to stop posting bikini pictures or fit body pictures just to not make others feel bad about themselves?? That's stupid. People shouldn't have to change their PERSONAL profiles to accommodate someone's feelings. If they think it's unrealistic, then don't look at their profiles. SIMPLE. People are too damn sensitive.

I don't care what other people do or look like. I am me and I will look like me and that's it. I'm one of a kind and so are all you beautiful ladies until you start trying to look like all these modles and famous people. I don't want to be like anybody but myself.
