Need some advice, please!
So my fiances moms side of the family is Baptist and very religious, which is fine. But me and my family aren't very religious people. My fiancé isn't very religious either, he believes there's a God (as do I) but he doesn't go to church every Sunday, he smokes, curses, etc. Well we got into a little argument the other day because his family keeps pushing for us to get married before the baby comes in August. He has said that he wanted to be married before we had a child, I did too. But sometimes it doesn't work out like that. I don't want to get married at the courthouse, in a rush, just because his family wants us too. I want that wedding, where I walk down the isle, where him and I plan every little detail, etc.
We got engaged September 26th, 2015 and found out we were expecting December 8th, 2015. We've lived together for almost 2 years now, it's basically like we are already married with the piece of paper. (We obviously had intentions to get married before we found out we were pregnant) Some people have suggested maybe we get married at the courthouse and then a year later have the big reception/celebration.
I'm just looking for advice, as to what you would do? I do love my fiancé dearly, and do want to marry him. I just don't want to do it because his family is forcing us too.
