Think I have BV, not sure if I should try Monistat.
So I picked up a few days ago that I may have BV. I noticed a strong fishy odor that isn't normal because I only ever smell like sea food if I eat scallops. Which about a week ago I had eaten scallops and had the odor. Lasted a day or so like it usually does and went away.
Then I noticed it came back. Weird, but I was exercising that day so took a shower and I thought it went away. Next morning, it's back. Now that's definitely not normal. Washed again that morning, came back in a few hours and I noticed a white creamy discharge that has been constant since then. Yet I have no other normal UTI symptoms, like itchiness or pain. I google it and everything says bacterial vaginosis or something. I don't know how to spell that. I make a doctors appointment but they can't see me till next Tuesday. Because of fucking course. So I'm stuck smelling like joes crab shack and oozing horrible nightmare icing until then.
So here's my problem. I read that Monistat doesn't work on BV, but I have NOT*** had a nice time with docs in the past. Idk how many times I've gone in for a UTI and just been like "I have a UTI" and I immediately get "but how do you know that?" Followed by a unnecessary lab test before I can get some medicine just for them to tell me "hey you have a UTI and need medicine". Noooooooo? You don't say? So Idk if I should go ahead and use some Monistat just so I can say I tried it already. This is a new doctor so idk. I just don't want to get there and be dismissed and told to use it and come back.
I have no faith in doctors in case you can't tell. I bounce around doctors and haven't found one yet that doesn't treat me like a ignorant whore.
