Just wondering ??

Why is it that sometimes I'll read these crazy stories about some people not getting there BFP untill like 10 + weeks pregnant & some women don't have a positive their whole pregnancy . I've also read where some people don't get their first positive untill like 21dpo ? 
​I don't understand how it's possible , and then some women can test positive as early as 7-8dpo ?

My MIL (mind you this was 38 years ago) was using condoms when they first got married. She missed her periods and started to "swell" she took numerous test and went to the doctor who did pregnancy test. They had diagnosed her with a "moving tumor" until she finally got a positive test at 6 months along!!

When I was pregnant with baby #1 I took four pregnancy test and they all came out negative and I was a month pregnant but did not know. So I waited about a month and a half but AF never came took another test came out negative. Went to the doctor, turned out I was 3 and a half months pregnant. So, I had my period for the first month I was pregnant and then negative test prior to that.

Human error. Can be a big cause. Also can you always believe what you read.  I am one of those strange people that is obsessed with anything OB related so I like watching those "I didn't know I was Preg" shows. And I work in the ER. I've had a woman show for "contractions" but she swore she was not pregnant. That she just took a test a few days ago. Well she was in labor with her 2nd child and the baby was born at only 26 weeks. (Baby is doing great btw).

​ Look at us. We all pee on countless sticks. And even we question what is a positive. Many would count a "faint" positive as BFP. So I'm thinking human error.

Every woman's body is different. So each case is usually much different than others. Some woman just do not get positive at home pregnancy test, and others get them way earlier. I don't know how else to explain lol. I'm not in a medical field or anything, but this is what I have been told by doctors.
