It's amazes me how quick adults are to judge young people who ask "dumb" questions. Do you know why young people grow up not know about healthy sexuality? Because their parents and teachers aren't talking about it. Our legislators are slowly voting away all of our sexual education in schools. Right now in Alaska there are bills going around the legislature that would ban Planned Parenthood educators from schools. These educators dedicate their careers to excelling in healthy sexuality education and how to make lessons and workshops engaging for young people. In Texas they took away all of Planned Parenthood's education fund, so they can't teach about HIV/AIDS, STI prevention, pregnancy prevention, birth control methods, consent and personal boundaries.

If you are so pissed off that kids are asking about if they are pregnant or not or other questions that seem obvious to you, then stop complaining to them about it and start complaining to your local legislators (senators and representatives) about it. We have the power, we have the voices. Make a meeting with them, make phone calls, write letters, pay attention to local legislation and actually make a difference in the world, instead of taking it out on uneducated children.

And if none of that works for you, please donate money to Planned Parenthood, as they are working their butts off to fight this terrible legislation.
