I'm just confused. I saw women being given shit for not submitting to their husband at all and then I saw someone given shit for being a sub to a dom who basically submits everything. Why is that? Why are neither okay, even if the one IS submitting?

You'll see stuff like that everywhere. "She's still a virgin, prude!" 
"She's had sex, slut!"

"She's a teen mom, how immature EW"
"She chose not to be a teen mom (terminate), selfish brat!"

It's a whole thing. People will think that if they don't do what they would in their personal lives that they are wrong and stuff. 
By the way, don't do any of the examples. That's rude.
