How far along were you when you started telling friends & family you were pregnant?

With my first, I had no idea about the miscarriage risk, so I told everyone the day after I got my bfp. With my second, I waited until I got my first ultrasound and then I started announcing. I've just gotten my bfp last night and I am dyyyyyying to tell people, but should I really wait until the 12week mark? Are doctors still going by that? My last time to make announcements was 2009, so I'm behind lol My 1st appt is tomorrow ?
