Mommy Etiquette for Thank You Cards

Hey fellow mommys! I am busy writing thank you cards, however I have a question. There are a handful of ladies who were unable to attend the baby shower yet told me they DO have a gift for me. I need to get thank you cards out now.... But what about the gifts I haven't received yet? I mean we're all young girls and moms in our early twenties... So technically I could say "hey I'm writing thank you cards but I don't want to miss you and I don't know what you got me! :(" but I'm just not sure if that's the proper way to go about it. :( what do I do for the gifts I haven't received yet?!?!
