fertility - low sperm count advice

Been ttc for 6 months - AF arrived today 😩. My husband did a sperm check test from boots drugstore (wasn't cheap) and it has come back as low - it says the test is 98% accurate . Really worried now (especially him) ... Can anyone relate to this and let me know what the steps are... I think he will pay for a private check but I am scared & praying that we don't have a long road ahead of us.
