On His Phone During Doppler!
Funny thing, my boyfriend and I went to our monthly baby checkup on Monday to see how our baby boy was coming along. My boyfriend is the absolute greatest. He is compassionate, loving, so supportive, tells me I'm beautiful every day even when I'm crying feeling like a pig! He has wanted kids since high school- he loves babies and children and wants a huge family! But Monday, as she's checking our son's heartbeat with the Doppler, he was on his phone! I look over when she was applying the gel and he was on his phone but I just let it go.
So she says, "Yep, about 150 bpm. Sounds wonderful!"
My boyfriend responds, "Oh the heartbeat? Are we gonna hear it today?"
I say, "Well, her and I just did. You were on your phone."
I may be acting childish and petty, but I don't chastise him ever. I don't ask him to change a thing. But I did request in the car for the time that we are in the exam room, can he please put his phone away? If something happened to be wrong at that appointment, he wouldn't have known because his attention was on social media. I don't care if he's on it in the waiting room or the car or whatever. But for 10 minutes of his day, I'd like for him to give me and his son his undivided attention. I mean, how would it look if I were laying on the table on my phone browsing Facebook as she's looking for the heartbeat? Lol 😂😂😂
