Counseling ?

So I'm thinking about going through therapy/counseling with my SO/baby's father. I think we need improvement on our communication, behavior, and a couple of other things . It's been 10 years . We've had miscarriages, but we are now 10 weeks pregnant . Has anyone tried counseling or therapy ? Did it help ? Pro's & Con's ?

My partner and I went about 5 times, starting from about the same time in pregnancy as you are now. Being pregnant causes strong emotions for both of you and just the act of going and talking really helped us realise we were both on the page still.

The pros are that while u both go,  things do seem to get better.  
The cons are that once you stop going,  very seldom people stay like that. Most go back to who they were before u has counseling. Most people don't ~permanently~ chance. They only change temporary. Counseling works, but not for the vast majority. Only for the ones that try 150%. And honestly, if both parties were to give 150% in the first place,  they won't need much counseling..
U should definitely try it...it's worth trying it, before giving everything up.
