Anyways, I feel like I'd like my SO to ask my father for it. But then I get the feeling it isn't in his plans, and it's not that important.

He told me today that he didn't ask anyone's opinion on my promise ring and didn't need any ones permission but mine. Kinda crushed any hope that he might ask my dad.

I've been married once before, he didn't ask my dad either. I feel like it would be nice to get my dad's approval... I just don't know...
