? About HGC levels

Question

Just got my results back from my first bloodwork and nurse said my level was 84. She said that was lower and would put me btw 2-3 weeks. I told her that I didn't ovulate till CD 22 according to OPKs (which would put me today at just a little over 2 weeks after ovulation). The ranges they give you online are so varried.

Have to go back tomorrow for second round but now I'm worried. I was spotting slightly yesterday with some cramping but seem better today (knock on wood). I guess I just have to wait to see if my levels doubled...any advice/experience?

Mine was just 36 at 3 weeks, 5 days and then after 48 hours went up to 152. My doctor said the levels look good and my first u/s is Nov 14th. From what I understand the levels vary greatly from woman to woman and you should look less at how high the number is and more at if it's doubling or not! Good luck and praying for your sticky bean!

My dr told me that what's important is that the levels at least double up in 48 hours. My first test was 68.5 (pretty low) and 48 hours later it was up to 200.3. My dr said as long as the levels are doubling up, that means the cells are dividing and thus the embryo is growing. Call your dr when you get your 2nd results.

At 3.5 weeks my HCG levels were 43 and at 4 weeks they were 117. They doubled but seemed lower than what others were getting, but now I'm 16 weeks pregnant and haven't had any trouble. My Drs office didn't tell me the first number alone because it really doesn't matter. All that matters is that it doubles! Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you everyone. Saying lots of prayers that my exam tomorrow and bloodwork all go well.

I prob wouldn't have freaked from the number if the nurse hadn't made me feel scared that it was low. Hoping my late ovulation would explain why I don't fit in the "normal" 4 week range
