Hives during pregnancy?

Hi ladies! I need some help!

I've broken out in hives and it's really not fun at all. Ridiculously itchy. I've searched various articles about the safety of hydrocortisone cream but have had no luck in regards to knowing if it's completely safe to use. Has anyone dealt with this before and been in the clear to use it? Or if not hydrocortisone cream, what household remedies do you know of?

Hydrocortisone is not safe in pregnancy. Speak to your doctor - it may be that the liver isn't coping, and they need to do blood tests

First check with your Dr. Did it start on your stomach as stretch marks then spread? If so ask your Dr about PUPPPS. It's an allergic reaction to your pregnancy and it isn't harmful to you or baby other than wanting to claw your skin off. If it is PUPPPS it will go away on its own, AFTER the baby gets here unfortunately. I had it with my daughter. As far as hydrocortisone creams, my Dr said I could use 1% but ONLY on the worst areas, not the whole body because it will absorb which means baby will get in contact with it and there is slight risks. Talk to your Dr about your options because if it is PUPPPS, there isn't much you can do other than take a benadryl at night to help a little bit. I heard Grandpa's black pine tar soap works good. Didn't get a chance to try it though.
