Artificial insemination

Hey all. I am a female who had been married to my beautiful wife for almost a year. I have a 5 year old from a previous relationship and my wife has taken our son under her wing. We are trying to conceive but as you can tell it's very difficult without that 1 special ingredient. I am Puerto Rican and she is Indian so I'm trying to look for someone Indian so at least the baby can resemble her as well.

I've been doing research online like crazy. I've also been prepping my body for when the time comes, on my first try of AI, I can get a BFP. But I don't want this to go to waste because I have an irregular period. Since we got married last May, I've been tracking my period and for 7 months it was finally normal and then the next 3 months, I didn't get it. The first of this month, I finally got it but all I'm doing is spotting.

Can anyone give tips or advice.
