Maternity Leave

So when I go on maternity leave I was thinking about being home with the baby for 6 weeks & then while in that process look for a better job. I like my job where I'm at now but I need more money, I was going to look for a better job while on maternity leave & when I know I'm in for sure tell my job I won't be coming back. Of course give them 2 weeks notice first before I do so, what do you think?
