Annoyed with Doctors

My doctor sent me to L&D for high blood pressure, headache,  blur vision, and crazy weight gain (10 pounds in 5 days). They didn't check for dilation at my appointment or in L&D even when I ask the nurse. I was told I don't need need to worry about it, that I would know if I'm in labor. I'm a FTM and I've had contractions for a week now, it also showed on the monitor and no one seems concerned. They sent me home and I'm on bed rest till I'm in labor. I'm currently 38 weeks and 5 days.
