Sewing help!!
Hello ladies! Im currently obsessed with the idea of making a cloak for this coming winter. I'm talking hood and cape, game of thrones, medieval style cloak. I'm not the best at sewing, but I'm decent. I wouldn't say beginner but amateur would fit. 
I was wondering if anybody here knew a little bit more about hand sewing, because I'm pretty old-fashioned and I don't really use a machine.
Could I just buy a cheap cloak, like a Halloween costume, and use it as a template. The cheap cloak would line the inside of the cloak that I making.
I was thinking put velvet on the outside and fur on the inside. So that cheap cloak would literally be in the center , it will be three pieces of fabric.
Let me know your opinions on this matter even if you don't know anything about sewing!! Thanks a ton!
