How old is to old??

Question

I was wondering how old is to old to have a baby? 
Times have changed so much and it seems that now you can never be to young to start a family (not my opinion). So how old would be to old? Take into account that people are in fact living longer and healthier lives (in some cases) but would it be silly to start a family in ur mid to late 40s knowing that at 60 ur child may only be 14-16 and by the time they have kids you could be well into ur 80s? 
I just wanted to see how other viewed  it.. Please no "it's there life, they can do what they want" comments. We already know that.. I just want to see what people's personal idea of to old would be?

Very easy to say and judge when you don't have any complications or challenges in conceiving. Sometimes things don't work out as "planned", so while I would have preferred to have my kids younger,  I got married for the first time at 36 and had to go through 2 surgical procedures and 2 rounds of IVF to conceive the amazing blessing that I'm carrying. I will be 41 when I give birth to my first and plan on having more children after this one. Being pregnant hasn't been hard on my body at all, it was getting pregnant that was difficult but all worth it. I have no regrets and would keep trying as long as it took to have the family I've always dreamed of having. Kind of ridiculous in this day and age to think over 40 is too old, but for those who have no struggles it's easy to say I guess.

In my opinion I wouldn't have one after 35 or so... I'm 30 now and having my first and that's all I want is one. I said if I didn't have one by 32 I just wasn't going to have kids. But I know a lot of woman try and try and get on up there in age still trying. My aunt was 38 with her first so I get it when woman just keep trying for their miracle baby. But past 40??? That'd be really hard on your body! Hell I know at 30 it's harder on me then it would've been at 20. I'm not ignorant to that fact LOL

Personally, I wouldn't want to become pregnant at 40+ years.. however my own Mum was 38 and my Dad 44 when I was born, and Mum was the most involved, energetic Mum out of any other mums amongst my friends parents who were usually much younger.. and my Dad is still super fit at 74yrs of age. They believe having me later in life helped to keep them youthful.. 😜

My SO and I have a larger age gap. He's in his 40s and this will be both of our first baby.

I wouldn't have a baby past 40. But that's just me. My aunt had her 1st kid at 41. But she had been trying for years and of course since she was finally pregnant she wasn't gonna pass the chance.

For myself I think past 40 is too old. I'll be 34 when baby is born so I still have a few years if I want a third.

I had no interest in starting my family until after I turned 30.  There were too many things I wanted to do and see before I had kids. My mom had all of us young and felt like she missed out on so much.  I had my first at 32, this one will be born when I'm 34, and I'd like to have a third at 36.  I wouldn't want to START a family after 40 just because I think it would be difficult to have 2 or 3 (my preferred number) at that point, but my grandmother had my mom at 43 and that was fine.  She lived to be 93. Said her kids kept her young!

I really think it depends on the person, personally I'm glad I'm having my kids young but if a woman is healthy, happy and able to do it physically then I don't see why having kids later is an issue.

My mom had me at 37 and I personally don't like that because now I'm only 18 and they're almost in their 60s. It's sad because I wish I could be older so I could have a good paying job so I could give back to them but I'm not even out of high school. A good thing about having my baby at a younger age is that my parents are alive to see him. Otherwise if I waited until I was in my late 20s or 30s they might not be able to be there to enjoy him as much

I have a 17, 14, 13, 12, 7 & 1 one the way. I was 20 when my oldest was born and am now 36w5d with our last at 37 years old (I turn 38 in May) I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here, I thought I was done and was completely happy with having my kiddos in my 20's.
