Pregnancy tests in the old days

When my nana was still alive and 95 I asked her how women back long ago knew they were pregnant and how they handled their periods. She told me you wouldn't know you were pregnant until you missed a few periods and started showing. She told me she was irregular but had no issues getting pregnant but she wouldn't know until she was almost showing. She told me she would squat in a field and give birth like it was nothing, she said that was normal back then. She had 7 children and lost a baby to sickness when she was a month old. And that women handled their periods with cloths and you just had to make sure and wash the cloth. I'm so glad it's 2016 😂
