I'm 38 + 6. At my appt this past Monday, my doc said that my cervix was soft, but that it was still really high up and not dilated at all. I went for a stress test and apparently had 3 contractions in an hour. The nurse checked me but she couldn't reach my cervix. I've been having what I assume are mild contractions since then. I've checked myself and can't reach my cervix. Sooo, is it possible to go from no dilation and high cervix to bring dilated and low cervix within a week? I'm trying for vbac but if I don't go into labor on my own before the 28th, I'm having a c section.

This is all new. I didn't have any pains or contractions with my daughter until my water broke. Thanks!
