Cerclage...has anyone had one?

I have to get a cerclage on Tuesday after having a couple LEEPs and a cone biopsy a few years ago to stitch my cervix. Has anyone had one? How does it feel? How did you feel afterwards? Thanks in advance

I've had 2.  One in 2007 with my 2nd child.  Was placed at 14 weeks.  Started to dilate around 25 weeks which pulled on stitch so was placed on bedrest.  Cerclage removed st 35 weeks, daughter born at 36.  I am currently pregnant with a surprise 3rd child.    Had thicker material cerclage placed at 14 weeks.  Some mild cramping after procedure but went back to work after 2 days.  Cerclage removed at 36 weeks. I am still pregnant at 39 weeks, 3 days which is incredible after having first 2 at 33 weeks and 36 weeks. Good luck to you!

I had a rescue cerclage at 22+6..  I was put to sleep for mine.. Took about an hour.. Recovery was another hour and i was sent home for modified bedrest.. I'm 26+3 now and stitch is holding pretty well.. Hopefully we make it to at least 30/33 weeks..

I'll be having one on Friday after a 2nd trimester miscarriage 5 years ago... I also don't know what to expect... Praying for you, and please let me me know how it goes!
