I've had a few folks ask us how our daughter's name is pronounced and it surprised me. I thought it was common enough that people knew it. Do you know how to say it?

I've never seen that name and honestly would have had no idea how to correctly pronounce. Very unique :)

My daughter has a my generation doll that's name is that. When you go online, that's how the creator intended it to be said.

I went to college with a Mayvelis from Cuba and we called her "my" "vay" for short...so that was my initial thought. if i had not known her then maybe I would pronounce it differently. Maybe if it was spelled Mayve it wouldn't be mispronounced as much? But either way it's beautiful.
