The length of your cervix is also called effacement. Anything over 4cm is considered 0%, 3 cm is 25%, 2cm is 50%, and less than 1 is 100%. After effacement comes the loss of the mucus plug and then dilation. Bear in mind it can take many weeks to go from 25% to 100% so it's not necessarily an immediate reason of concern unless you lose your plug or your water breaks.
FTM.....Possible Cervix Thinning Out 27wks
So I came to the hospital about 3wks ago for pelvic pressure and low back pain they checked my cervix and was 5cm long.....And once again I'm back here again for the same issues and a headache that will not go away, but now my cervix is about 3cm long...
I'm 27wks and 6days...basically 28wks
The Dr didn't tell me what that meant, anyone on here that can explain this to me please and thank you
