I searched the topic with no luck...cm question maybe TMI?

My AF is due the 10th .....today checking cm it's brown and cervix is closed. I'm confused. My last period was lighter than normal but I'm pretty sure it counts as a period and not pregnant. Since ttc my body is outta whack. :( Anyone have this and get a BFP later or it's nothing and I should just forget it? I don't understand why our bodies have to make this more complicated, as if it wasn't hard enough ttc, right? Any input ladies?
