HELP! Gassy baby.
My baby boy is 18 days old and he gets so gassy at night. He is formula fed and is getting 4 ounces every 2 1/2 hours. During those feedings I am burping him 3-4 times bc he cries out in pain from the air he's swallowing. I have him on the Dr Browns bottles and gas drops and it doesn't appear that he gets a lot of air but I can hear it in his little belly that he is. He's eating the enfamil newborn formula as well.
Nighttime is the worst and it breaks my heart to know he's in pain from the gas. I rub his belly, back, move his little legs, sit him up after feedings, walk him around, etc. I did try calling my pediatrician and they basically told me to stick it out. I'm not worried about me; I don't want my baby to be in constant discomfort/pain.
Any advice or tips from experience?
