I've heard 3 months. But I'm only 5 weeks I think. I just found out I'm pregnant this morning! Still doesn't seem real. So idk how long I can keep a secret! Our parents have been bugging us and disappointed when we weren't pregnant. How long should I wait to tell them??

We're terrible at keeping this kind of news to ourselves! We're Christians and we believe a baby is a baby at conception and we also realize that we could lose the baby. We want our family and friends to pray with us and for us, to celebrate with us, and to grieve with us should that happen.

I thought that too, as if the worst did happen you would probably still tell your family anyway. Won't be telling anyone else for a while though x

I think it depends on your family. I told all of my family the day we found out. I don't do secrets well and we're so excited, why not share!?

I told my parents immediately! But we are living with them at the moment so it's kinda hard to hide it haha we are telling my husbands parents this Friday if everything goes well with our ultrasound! As for friends and the rest of our family I'm hoping we can hold out until I'm atleast 10 weeks! But it's hard... I'm so excited I just want everyone to know now! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I've told family and a few friends. Anyone that you'd feel comfortable telling bad news can also get the good news. :)

We just found out last night and are telling my parents this week! Everyone else (his parents included) will be told at 12 weeks. It's just what makes sense for us, and our relationships with our parents. So is it "safe" to tell my parents so soon? No, I know there are no guarantees. But if anything were to happen, my parents would be our biggest support and we'd want them to know anyway.

I'm 5 weeks too and got a Dr's appointment this evening so going to wait until we get confirmation from that - just to make sure my eyes aren't imaging those 2 lines! I'll probably tell family soon after that and then friends / colleagues after 3 months. I'm visiting a friend in a couple of weeks so will probably tell her as she'll be asking why I'm not drinking!

We are telling parents at 7 weeks when we are in town because we won't see them again until I'm 19 weeks along and we really want to tell them in person ๐Ÿ˜Š(We live out of town so in person announcements are tricky). As for the rest of the family we will announce the news via a Skype call during a family dinner over the long weekend in May when I am 13 weeks along and that's the same time I will be telling work and we will be doing the Facebook announcement. โ˜บ
