SO has never given any kind of compliments? (Going on 3 year relationship)

Does your SO call you beautiful, sexy, smart, exc...?.... I've been with mine for two years now going on three and he has NEVER gave me a compliment whatsoever... Should I feel insecure? I tried asking him how I look just to get a compliment before and he does not get the hint. I try dressing up, I have tried everything.. anyone else with this problem, how would you feel? Any advice??

Aww I'm sorry huni. Maybe he is just not the "affectionate" type. I say try sitting down and have that conversation with him. My SO tells me everyday. But u shouldn't feel insecure. U don't need someone to tell u,u are beautiful. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I think men are just clueless about this kinda of stuff and I definitely think he's not the only one! Just tell him how you feel.

Why don't you just tell him that? At the beginning of my relationship my SO always called me beautiful and cute and my all time favorite ( PYT). but as time went by he slowly stopped and I straight told him I felt insecure that he didn't say those things to me. And he apologized and now goes out of his way to tell me things like that. So that's what you should do, talk to him about it.

Sorry to hear. You shouldn't have to fish for a compliment from him. Have a talk with him. Its not completely bad that he doesn't complement you but I would think at some point during that time he would have said something. I am lucky and my DH does compliment or well text "morning beautiful" or other little things. Its not all the time but nice. I also compliment him as well. Do you compliment you SO? Either way. You are a beautiful women and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you live each other, this is something one can get past. Best of luck :)

Mine doesn't tell me anything either, never has, I mean it is very annoying. He told me you get told how good you look all the time by other people why should I tell you. & it's like he doesn't understand if it's not the person you're with it just doesn't count, I want to know I'm beautiful in his eyes. He knows how I feel about it, but he still doesn't tell me anything. Like sometimes he'll say "who are you trying to look good for" other than that nothing & I'm a very insecure person. I just got over him saying it though...

Say so. My guy was this way and I told him, everyone I've been with has been very affectionate- verbally and physically. He's stepped it up. Said it's not "like him" to do those things but if it means something to me, he's happy to. It's just not normally a thing he expresses.

He's like "I think you're beautiful all the time! And you're confident, I didn't think you needed someone to tell you that." I said well I'm a girl, it never hurts to tell me I'm pretty ?
