TMI: Final picture of hair follicle

This is what it looks like now. It's busted open. I've been draining it little by little with warm compresses and peroxide. Is this bad or normal looking? I've never had one of these so it freaks me out, but it doesn't hurt too bad at all. Any advice to help heal? I haven't located and plucked the hair yet. Is that necessary? Any help greatly appreciated. Sorry for the image.
