When is the right time to buy baby stuff?

Hey guys. I've been thinking about buying baby stuff like diapers and stuff like that . Not clothes yet or equipment but that stuff . I'm only 8 weeks. Is that too early ?

I personally would wait until my first trimester is over since the first trimester has a higher chance of mc.

With my first 2 babies we started buying a pack or case of diapers/wipes  each paycheck. With that + baby shower we didn't have To buy diapers for the first few months. We will probably do the same with this one. We also buy bigger ticket items early if we can get a really good deal (75%+ off). Baby stuff can be expensive so spreading out the cost of things really helped us previously.

My husband and I have been trying to concieve for about a year and a half. We finally got our positive! 
Our local safeway/carrs does $5 Friday and usually mom to mom diapers (the small packs) are 5 dollars usually around 10-11. As well as mom to mom wipes. So I would pick up one of each and the next time it was on sale I would do the same thing just different size diapers. 
Diapers are expensive and if I can grab a few packages while they are on sale I'm going to. That way I can spend the money I saved on other baby things in the future.
