Baby has Upper Lip Tie?

do any of you mamas out there have a baby with a lip tie? if so, are you having trouble breastfeeding and do you plan on getting it treated?

My daughter was born both upper lip and tongue tied, breastfeeding was terribly painful until we had it resolved at 3 weeks old. It was a tough decision but I'm glad we did it as we were able to nurse normally until she self weaned at 1 yr. Talk to a Lactation Consultant, I wasn't able to get any support from anyone else

What is the treatment for lip tie? My son has one but his ped said not to be concerned. He latches really well when feeding, it hurts me sometimes but he's only 8 days old so I'm sure it's just my nipples getting used to breast feeding

Both my kids had it very painful at first I nursed through it and they grew out of it

I got my son treated and now nursing is not painful!

My 1st daughter had a tongue and lip tie. But we didn't have any issues with breastfeeding, so we decided not to have it clipped. She's 2 now and doesn't have any speech issues either.
