Weighted blanket

I’ve been wanting to get a weighted blanket for my toddler for awhile now. Anyone have any brands they recommend? Also how many lbs should I get? TIA!

Anyone else struggling with their 3yo trying to ‘control’ their younger sibling?

We have a 10 month old that I’m sure he is still getting used to- a sibling is a huge change. Sometimes he is so kind to her but so often he is trying to control everything she does. She can’t crawl certain places, play with most of the toys, she can’t be first to have anything (dinner, a drink, get in the car, etc.). It is exhausting! Is anyone else in the same boat?

How does your child play with their peers?

Given everything that went on with covid, my child hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to play with kids his own age so I’m not sure if he’s a bit behind socially. How does your 3 yo play with/interact with other kids? Is it mostly parallel/playing alongside? Do they do some minor interactions like showing their peers things or making comments/asking their peers questions? Are they taking turns or actually working together? Do you need to prompt them to say hello, etc.? Thanks!

Sleep Deprived

I’m currently still nursing (although I don’t think he’s getting much) my 3 year old throughout the day and night. He isn’t taking any naps during the day and he will only sleep in his room a few hours at a time (we have to sneak him in there after he’s sleep). He nurses himself to sleep and NEVER goes to sleep on his own. He’s literally up every 2-3 hours at night, nursing and I can’t take it anymore 😵‍💫. He learned to open his door shortly after his 2nd birthday, so we have no way of keeping him in his room. I’m so desperate to 1) have him sleeping throughout the night 2) have him sleep in his room and 3) have him go to sleep on his own, without nursing. Note— this didnt just start, hes ALWAYS been this way and I’ve always been fighting this.

Reoccurring UTI issues

My poor girl is fighting another UTI I think even though she just got off of a week of antibiotics the other day. Anyone else dealt with this? She absolutely refuses to potty train right now and has held her pee for 24 hours before. We don’t use soaps. I use alcohol free baby wipes. She’s drinking a ton. I just feel lost.

Regression

Is there some sort of 3 year old regression no one told me about? Bub had his regression at 2.5 and now I feel like he’s regressing again. Or I’ll just say I put him down and about 10 minutes later he’s up crying and sometimes he’s actually still asleep but like crying. It’s so frustrating! My 4 month old sleeps better than him as of now 🙃

I can’t believe our October babies are turning three! He has such a personality and loves Halloween. He wanted a Halloween party said it’s going to be spooky. Lol loves this kid!

Increase in toddler’s appetite

I wonder if my now 3 year old is going through a growth spurt? Lately he’s had such a huge appetite! He already ate an entire banana and 3 scrambled eggs this morning. Yesterday he ate a large amount as well! I love that he has an appetite, because he used to be just a picker. Oh and some days he eats hardly anything but the days he does eat, he goes to town! Anyone else deal with this?

Where in the world did the time go?! Can’t believe my baby is 3! Started the day off with birthday balloons, a few fun little gifts and little man helped me make chocolate Chip pancakes!!! We sang him happy birthday and we also are going to do a few fun things this week including a family bonfire and a couple other fun outings this week. 🎉🙏😃🍩💜🦖🦕
