We have to keep bloomers or pants/shorts on my daughter at all times or she rips her diaper off. 🙈

Wild second born

My October baby is our second child. We have an almost 4 year old son and then our daughter. I see all these posts on TikTok about how that second born child is a whole different specimen and I am seeing that lol. And I am feeling like such a failure as a parent. My first at least as remorse. My daughter does not listen and when you try and discipline she just laughs. I am trying not to get frustrated with her but she is breaking any patience I thought I had. Any tips for redirecting her energy, I want to keep that strong willed personality but just put it to useful things

I am assuming she is learning to assert control and push boundaries. I have been trying to give my kiddo choices so that they feel they still have control (picking between foods or between clothes or books, etc...), but they also dont push boundaries a ton. What are you doing for discipline?

No more tests 😕🥹

I just had my second baby boy in June. I got my tubes tied because we feel like our family is complete. But after peeing on sticks (HCG & OPK) for 6 years every single day. Sometimes twice a day. I feel like I don’t know what to do. I knew it consumed my life. But I didn’t realize how obsessed with it I was. Even though I know I’ll never be pregnant I still find myself wondering by the pregnancy test isle wanting to buy one. Anyone else? What’d you do that helped? I have absolutely no hobbies.

I know, for me, that three months post partum I will likely be saying "maybe I can do one more". But I KNOW it is hormones. Right now (almost 3 weeks PP) I know my body and brain cant do it again. But otherwise, think back before kids and try to remember things you did for fun. Your life will still be your babies (just outside the womb) but remembering hobbies and "center" are important. Here is a random list of stuff that might spark your "oh yeah, I liked doing x":Drawing, reading, dancing, gardening, walking, hiking, biking, swimming, playing board games, video games, sewing, building, wood work, electronics repair, cooking, baking, talking politics with friends, learning a new skill, hunting, bowling, etc...etc...

Flying

We will be flying for the first time with LO he will almost be 2 when we take our 6 hour flight. Any tips and tricks I would like to start planning and buying anything that might help.

This is what worked for us: Bring favourite toys and make it super fun and exciting for your little one. With topical books and pictures you can mentally prepare them the weeks leading to the flight, talking with an enthusiastic voice, playing with a toy plane the take off and the landing etc.

Which size toddler bed? 🤷‍♀️

We are currently looking into transitioning our toddler into a toddler bed and we are a bit unsure about which size to get. Our toddler is quite a movy sleeper. From your ladies’ experience, what’s a good size to get?

Why do they have to grow up? 😭😔

Toddler won’t sleep!

My daughter is 21 months old and she is a nightmare to put to sleep at nap time or bedtime. Sometimes she skips nap time during the day all together (after 2 hours of me patting her, singing to her, closing the curtains, etc). Once she’s asleep she is fine but it’s the putting time sleep but which I’m really struggling with. Does anybody have any tips? I’ve come to the point of putting the tv on and letting her fall asleep watching it, this usually takes forever too!!

My son will sleep for anyone else, but for me, if I don't breastfeed him, he will just stay up

Won't eat?

So my daughter who will be 2 in October has always been a bit of a picky eater, well for the last 2 weeks we can hardly get her to eat anything even foods she previously liked. I don't know what to do, with food inflation, me being a SAHM and not having any food assistance we have to shop sparingly. We get the food we know she will eat so we do have food but she is refusing to eat any of it and at this point I can't afford to go and stock the house with new items. She keeps asking for food and won't eat anything I give her. For lunch I made her 3 different things and she wouldn't eat any of them. Idk what to do eating isn't optional it's a basic need and I can't force feed her so I'm at a loss on how to get her to eat.

Follow Feeding Littles on Instagram! Judy has so many great tips for picky eaters! Maybe try letting her pick from what you’re eating. Make meal times a family affair. Sometimes they’re more willing if they see you eating it.

Breastfeeding weaning

Hi ladies,I really need some help with weaning my son off breastfeeding. As you know he'll be 2 in October but it just seems like he is not interested in stopping breastfeeding feeding. The last few months I've felt like it was time to stop. I originally wanted to wait until he was ready, I feel so bad that I want to end it If he doesn't, but it's not working for me anymore.Amy suggestions??

Just started casually and it’s going well. We have a potty upstairs and downstairs and lots of nappy free time she’s just taking herself to the potty now when she needs to. She is quite excited when she does a poo or wee in the potty and we make a big fuss of her.

Sleep Regression???

O. M. G. I need help. My once perfect sleeper has hit a major regression. He’s fighting bedtime tooth and nail, ultimately needing me to lay down next to his crib to fall asleep. He’s also waking up in the middle of the night AND waking up about 1 hour earlier than usual. Is this a thing??? I’m honestly not sure what to do, he been putting himself to sleep since about 6 months old and this is very new.

My daughters this way since she turned 1 🥲

Same thing AGAIN

Around 14-15 months my son all the sudden was afraid of the bath, I heard it was completely normally and within a few weeks he acted like it never happened but NOW he’s 21 months and afraid of the bath again. Screaming, crying, clutching, and trying to climb out. But he’s not afraid of the pool? Has anyone else had this issue TWICE?

Have you tried taking him in the shower with you? My daughter is 21mo (tomorrow) and started protesting bath for the second time, so we introduced the shower and she loves it! Everyone’s happier. We call it “rain!”

Anyone transitioned from crib?

My son has mastered the escape of the crib. So now I transitioned to a toddler bed, but he keeps getting out of it and just plays in his room. What have other moms done to get the kids to sleep once transitioning?

My daughter uses a sleep sack. I think it keeps her from climbing out of the crib so we haven’t had any problems.
