Hey everyone,

So a few days ago a very close friend of mine who is going through a grievance popped up to complain that she felt that I was “there for her” as much as she liked.

First of all the last phone convo we had in October, it was made clear that she wanted space because she said “you probably won’t hear from me for a while”. Although she said this I would message her here and there to ensure she was okay, send her random words of encouragement- despite not getting a reply, which didn’t matter cos I knew she was hurting and prayed over her.

In the early days of this new year she wrote a dissertation explaining an old “issue” that we resolved from 2018 and then continued to make it out as if I wasn’t there for her. Meanwhile she is clueless as to what I’ve been going through with family illness - which I have not told her about.

I was angry because of her approach and all to feel self righteous because her “pastor” said a Word. Don’t message me, call me about these things.

If she knew me as well as I thought she would, she knows from previous times that I will always call her but it’s obvious, there’s a reason I didn’t this time because she told me to. Even when I offered to call she said she was “limiting her calls and can’t talk”. So even if I was to call her she probably wouldn’t answer. Grievance is a tough thing but people need to try not to deflect any hurt or pain directly onto those who love them the most.

She tried to call me three times and kept messaging me even after I said “I hope you offloaded how you feel and I hope you feel better but for now I’m not in a place to continue this convo”. She then complained that I “ignored her”. I know I’ve known this girl for 6 years but that doesn’t mean anything to me anymore. We grow together or go! I don’t want any drama for this new year, I think we’ve all been through enough as it is!
