So I took on this 8 yr old Arab X

I was told that he had never had a rider but was happy with a saddle. And that was true. Great in groundwork and could saddle him up no problems but as soon as I took that chance and thought he was ready I jumped on his back only to have him buck like a rodeo horse. I tried to stick it but came off, breaking both arms. Which is horrible cause I have a 5 month daughter that I can’t even hold atm 😭

After my accident I contacted his old owner and she turned around and said that he’d actually been ridden before but not for 4 years. 🤷‍♀️

And I had his teeth done today and the dentist said he is actually 10 yrs old.

Being this age and having such a bad bucking problem. I would have to send him to a professional trainer but the trainer around here would cost $700 for 2 weeks which I can’t afford.

I guess it’s come down to,

do I retire him as a companion and look for another horse hopefully?

Do I sell him on as a companion or a big project to someone with the time?

Or do I take the chance and see if a trainer can help him?

I can’t risk getting hurt like this again when my daughter needs me so much
