Period symptoms?

I used my birth control pills to skip my period last month. It worked fine, no spotting. I just had a couple small cramps around when I was supposed to get my period. Now it's the next month and I just started the placebo pills, and I have period symptoms but no bleeding. I'm crampy, moody, and nauseous (normal symptoms for me), just not bleeding. Do you guys think it's normal?
