Thoughts on Prenatal Vitamins?

Hello, ladies!

So my hubby and I have been ttc. Not necessarily as much or as hard as we could be. I was just curious what everyone thought about taking prenatal vitamins before getting pregnant? I've heard many say that it's good to do so and it could help.

My other question is what brand I should get. Does anyone have any suggestions? Brands to stay away from?

Taking them is great! It doesn't necessarily help you conceive in itself but if you begin taking Folic Acid (which is found in prenatals) it can help the baby stay viable. It's an important nutrient. Right now I just take gummy ones and make sure they lost folic acid.

My doc told me to take them, I've been taking them for like 3 years now. ( on and off) I got the cheap Lilla from Walmart but they smell bad and are huge so I would gag. Now I only get the gummies, they are delicious, and some times target has this deal where you buy 2 of them and get $5 they were like 8 each but that's pretty good getting 5$ back. They do have a cheaper one that's the generic but it's always gone when I get there but thoes are like $6. So far target is the cheapest even compared to Walmart.

My ob/gyn said every woman trying to get pregnant should absolutely be taking prenatals for at least 3 months before getting pregnant.
