Sharp pains in head during pregnancy

For the past week (not every day), I've been getting sudden sharp pains in my head that last for about 3-5 seconds each that come once or twice every 5 minutes. Some of them feel similar to a brain freeze. It comes off and on all day. I asked my mom about it and she said it sounds like my blood pressure is high.. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have been worried about preeclamsia or gd. I looked online and it said something about it being an "ice pic headache", but it's not a constant pain. Throughout my pregnancy I've suffered from terrible migraines and have never felt this intense kind of ache before. Has anyone else felt this and knows what it is, what helps, etc.?
