Burns to urinate after sex?

Every time my boyfriend and I have sex, I go straight to the bathroom afterwards to prevent a UTI. Lately, when I urinate, it burns that entire day and I have UTI symptoms (frequent going and burns) but the next day, they're gone. We've been together for 2 years and I know neither of us have STD's but I just want to know if it's normal or what I should do.

Also, I have gone to the doctor and tested for a UTI and I don't have one so it's not being masked or anything.

Are you using lube? Condom? Spit? It could just be the sex is irritating your urethral opening. Or you have a cut from sex and it's getting in there. Take a mirror and have a look. Or ask your doc to.

Do you guys use latex condoms? It could be a latex allergy or a sensitivity to latex. It used to happen to me until we switched to non-latex ones. Just remember that if you use lamb skin ones remember they don't protect against STDs.

I think it's normal, specifically if your boyfriend has a large penis, and you're small... I think it's just your skin is sensitive maybe?

I've noticed that I am also sensitive to certain lubricants. I didn't used to have an issue with it, but if I'm not naturally lubricated enough (or use the unfortunately expensive lube) and just use whatever is on the condom I have pain too. I just recently went to the gyno as well and was told the same thing! We switched condom brands and no longer use the ribbed ones and it has been much much better. I also know it's not a UTI because if my man and I don't use a condom (we have been together 3+ years!) it doesn't hurt.

My sister had the same thing happen to her and it turned out that she was/is allergic to her husbands sperm. Kinda crazy right?! Anyways if it keeps happening and you have been tested for a uti then it is a possibility and you can get checked for that type of allergy.
