Breastfeeding?!

So I bought some of that mothers milk tea and I was just wondering if any of you other ladies out there have tried it and if it really works? Also what else is good to eat or drink if you plan on breastfeeding or are breastfeeding?

With my first, my lactation consultant said the two most important things were to stay hydrated and have plenty of protein.

Focusing on that and just trying to eat healthy overall worked fine for me.

Flax seed, LOTS of oatmeal, drink tons of water, Google "breastfeeding cookies", take Fenugreek, that's what I can think of off the top of my head. I know eating at least 2 servings of oatmeal a day helps tremendously! (The breastfeeding cookies are oatmeal based so if you don't like regular oatmeal you can eat 2 of those)

There's a homeopathic called ricinus get in the 6c at whole foods or other health food store and it helps bring in milk... But ONLY the 6c

I've done TONS of research because I failed at breastfeeding with my daughter 13 years ago, and this time I am determined!

I am currently 27 weeks and I have decided to make my own lactation herb capsules. They are NOT safe during pregnancy but you can begin taking them as soon as baby is out and they work in 24-48 hours (so I hear).

The main ingredients I've heard actual praise regarding are as follows:
Fenugreek
Blessed thistle
Goats rue 
Fennel
Red Raspberry LEAF (not the berries) 
Alfalfa

I'm ordering a capsule machine on Amazon along with empty gel caps and making my own. This way I can customize what herbs work best for me.

Taking these capsules in the first 9 days post part in provides the greatest benefit, both in immediate and long term results. You can continue taking these for as long as you choose to breastfeed.
