Avoiding the awkwardness😳

We were at a family meal and my cousins and Aunty kept mentioning babies and that it won't be long until we have one etc, I feel soooo awkward and never know how to react or what to say when it's brought up, plus I am a REALLY bad liar 😳. No one knows we are ttc, and I think it'll take a while.

Part of me would love to tell my mum and MIL we are trying but I don't want the pressure.

Did you tell family you were ttc? How do you react when people say it'll be you next or when they demand to know when you're having one?
