So a friend of mine had an abortion last summer. She didn't feel as though she was financially capable of raising a child at that point and took many other factors into consideration. I'm glad that beforehand, she thought about it versus just deciding to do it. Anyhow, fast forward to now. She just found out a week and a half ago that she's pregnant. The father of her child has been trying to make arrangements with multiple other women to meet up and have sex without my friend knowing anything of it. This dude is an actual bum. Uses her for money, told her that he hopes that she miscarries, puts his hands on her, destroys property when he gets pissed off at the smallest things, etc. Long story short, he's a horrible person. Definitely wouldn't be fit to be a father in my eyes. Anyway, I was speaking with my friend and she flat out just said that she even hopes that she miscarries. But then went on to say that she'll be the best mother in the world. I'm sorry if this seems ignorant of me but HOW could someone say something so horrible about an innocent child that hasn't even been given a chance at life and then go on to talk themselves up in terms of their parenting abilities? It broke my heart to read that. I could never imagine wishing something so cruel on my child if my boyfriend and I split, regardless of what caused us to go our separate ways. That's so disgusting.
