Not so good doc visit

I went to my 21 week visit to the doc and it didn't go so well. Let's just say I gained 9lbs in 4 weeks. What's wrong with me?!?! Now I'm on a diet. This is going to be a long 2nd half of pregnancy. Any advice or diets?
