First appointment

Got 4 positives this weekend and a doctor confirmed it yesterday! We are expecting! But my first appointment to find out how far I am/due date isn't for 4 weeks :( anyone else have their first appointment farther away than you'd like? I'm soooooo impatient! This is also my first and I'm scared something is going to happen before then.. I've been cramping on and off. Is it normal?
