Not as far Along as I thought??

Just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else? 
My last period started January 22nd, and going by that day I should be 10wks. But when we went to get a TV ultrasound donethe other day the baby was only measuring at 8 weeks. Does that just mean that I ovulated later than I thought? My period tracker says I was fertile the 2nd thru the 7th of February and did the baby dance with my husband around that time. Just want some reassureance(:

My lmp was 21st January, I went for a scan thinking I was 6w6d and they dated me at 6w exactly, seems fairly normal x

I thought I was almost 8 weeks when I had my appointment Friday but turns out I was 8 days off and I'm 7 weeks today. It happens you probably ovulated later.

There is a ton of inaccuracy in pregnancy dating, especially if you are going by LMP. If you are just using a tracker tool and not temping, checking CM and/or using OPKs you could probably off on your ovulation date by quite a bit plus or minus. When I started using OPKs I found I was ovulating 4 days before my tracker told me I was. Then the time from fertilization to implantation can vary quite a bit,  average is 7-10 days. Finally ultrasound dating itself can be off, I've read plus or minus 6 days. Between all of those factors it's totally possible to be 2 weeks ahead or behind. I wouldn't worry too much.

I went in for a 6 week 6 day scan. Baby measured 5 weeks 4 days. I guess I ovulated later then I thought. I feel like I had a week stolen from me though :( but oh well. As long as this is a healthy pregnancy for me I will take it!

Ive had three previous pregnancies and the initial ultrasounds moved my dur date back with all three of them. As my pregnancies progressed they adjusted them back closer to my original dates. All babies are different, all pregnancies are different, but all ultrasounds look for the same things so they're not perfect :)

I went in for my 8 week US and was told baby measured at 6 weeks.. I freaked out how am I going back in weeks.. Was so upset..
The doctor said its still too early even though we did see and hear a heartbeat.. She said I want to see you in two weeks to make sure your dates are wrong or if it's just that the baby's not growing.. It has been the two longest weeks.. I go in on Wednesday and it just can't come any faster. 😞

This happened to me as well. I just had an ultrasound on Thursday! According to my LMP, I should have been 7w6d. Baby measured 6w2d and had a strong heartbeat. I use opk's and know that I'm a late ovulator, usually around CD 22-23 of a 31-33 day cycle when the "textbook" says I should ovulate on CD 17-19. Plus, implantation takes 7-10 days too. I think you can really only go by LMP if you're a perfect 28 day cycle!

I have no idea as I haven't had my scan yet, but just thought I'd comment as 22nd Jan was my last period so we're at the same stage! I'm sure it's fine, we BD-ed mid Feb so I'm expecting to measure slightly less.

Amanda I'm in the same boat as you my last lmp was 1st Feb which makes me today 8 weeks and 6 days today when I went for my scan Monday just gone the scan showed strong heart beat but measuring 6 1/2 weeks to 7 weeks which has messed my dates up. I am going for another scan tomorrow so should know more then xx
