How old is your little now and how many oz do they eat?

My peanut was born super smal 4 lbs 9 oz finally eating 2-3.5 oz at 23 days old and is now about 5lbs 7oz or a little more.

The LC gave me a formula to figure out how much my LO should be eating.

2.5 x current weight = total per day

Total per day / # of feeds per day = oz per feeding

So for example my LO is 5.5 lbs 
2.5 x 5.5 = 13.75 oz/day
13.75/8 = 1.72 oz/feed

She usually will eat 1.75 to 2 oz at a time.

Umm my newborn, discharged at 9 lbs 1 oz born at 9 lbs 9 oz, who is now a week old eats from 3-4.5 oz a sitting 😅.  Asked the lactation consultant she just said since he was born so big he eats more and she sees it a lot.
