Anterior placenta question?

So I have an anterior placenta. I wasn't able to feel my baby move too much until 24 weeks. I am now 25 weeks and I can constantly feel him kick. So my question is... did my placenta move? How are you able to tell if they don't do another ultrasound before birth if the placenta is in the way??

Its more because as baby grows, kicks and movements are stronger so more easily felt. The anterior placenta cushions a lot of the earlier movements and thats why you dont feel them earlier in the pregnancy.

I'm 37 weeks and have an AP too. My understanding is that it will not move. If they have already checked you and the placement of the placenta and have not told you that it is low lying or covering the cervix opening, I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy every kick and roll.

This is my 3rd pregnancy but 1st time with anterior placenta. My dr told me he will have another scan done after 34 weeks to see if it moved. I'm a csection anyway so it really makes no difference he just wants to know if he has to cut right through it or not before surgery. So according to him and what I've read it can move and depending on how close it is to your cervix determines if you would need a csection or not.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's moved. Just as baby is growing the movements get stronger. I just had an ultrasound last week and mine has only moved a little

My doctor said placentas always move. They generally move upward with the expansion of the uterus as you grow. That is why some people can start with placenta prévia and not have it near the end of pregnancy. I have and AP and experienced tons of movement after about 27 weeks most likely to mine moving up some.

My doctor told me it won't move I have one too he said wherever it implants that where it stays im 32 weeks tomorrow my baby boy kicks all the time I feel it mostly on my right side sometime the left or low in my abdomen.
