Friends? Lovers?

After 10 years of platonic friendship, my male friend and I have a thing going on. He lives about 6 hours away, so we keep in touch daily through text, email, phone, etc, but lately it's been constant and more....explicit. Even though we haven't had sex (yet), our relationship is much more than physical. We've both said we have feelings for each other, but he doesn't want a long distance relationship. Meanwhile, he can't go more than a few hours without talking to me so I'm confused. And no, there definetely isn't anyone else. What should I do?
