I'm 6w3d and I went to the ER last night for bleeding bright red. It started out being light pink, and gradually got darker. I was there for 4 hours, and they took blood, did a pelvic exam, and a transvaginal ultrasound. She could only see the sac at this point, and didn't tell me anything about a heartbeat. The doctor said that my hormone levels are lower than they should be right now, and that this is possibly a threatened miscarriage, but it's too soon to tell which way it'll go.

This morning, there was still bright red blood and no cramping. Now, the bleeding is a bit darker red and looks more like spotting, but I'm cramping more.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm so afraid that I'm going to lose it. I'm trying to be as calm as I can, but I want this baby more than anything. I've scheduled an OB appointment for tomorrow, so hopefully they'll give me a bit more information.

Is there anyone else who is going through something similar?
